Tanya M. Paes, Ph.D.

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Psychology & Biobehavioral Sciences department at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. My research focuses on how to support the development of cognitive and behavioral skills, particularly executive function, social-emotional, and school readiness skills in children that may be at-risk for later cognitive difficulties, including children with cancer and childhood cancer survivors. I have experience working with children from families with low incomes and those from diverse ethnic groups using experimental, observational, and longitudinal methodologies.


My research has been recognized by a number of grants and awards. I have also held several leadership positions in my department, college, and professional societies (Cognitive Science Society, National Postdoctoral Association).
